I have been a language teacher for 30 years. I’m not a neuroscientist, nor barely a neuro-anything. But I have become enthusiastic, passionate… fine, obsessed, with how the brain learns best and how this can be transposed to a classroom or other learning situation, be it language, science, humanities…
My aim is to take advances in learning theory and make them easily applicable to the classroom or for self-study scenarios.
There’ll be a fair amount of theory along the way, but believe me, it’s worth it for the understanding of how you can be better teachers and learners. I hope you’ll also be entertained!
I live in Portugal. I teach, train, write (I have written 15 books for Young Learners and teachers of Young Learners of English) and travel whenever possible. Invite me over – I’d love to go there!
